Description

You will participate in all aspects of patient care in a small animal practice under veterinary supervision, including gathering histories, performing physical exams, developing diagnostic and therapeutic plans, assisting in surgery, and managing medical cases. The program is designed to improve your practice-readiness and help you transition smoothly into the profession after graduation.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited DVM program
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must carry professional liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Gather histories and perform physical examinations
• Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans under supervision
• Assist in surgery and manage medical cases
• Provide wellness care and develop client communication skills
• Produce medical records (SOAPs) within daily practice time limits
