Description

You will lead technical delivery for façade and external wall fire consultancy projects, exercising independent engineering judgment to ensure robust, defensible outcomes. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to maintaining the firm's reputation for high-quality, risk-based advice.

Requirements

• Advanced technical delivery and project leadership experience in façade engineering and external wall fire consultancy
• Ability to exercise independent engineering judgment on complex projects
• Experience in preparing fire assessment reports and façade engineering reports
• Knowledge of façade build-ups, materials, fire stopping, and remediation proposals
• Experience in mentoring developing engineers

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery on façade and external wall projects of moderate to high complexity
• Exercise independent engineering judgment on façade systems, fire performance, remediation strategies, and compliance pathways
• Prepare external wall fire assessment reports (e.g., PAS 9980 appraisals), façade engineering reports, and technical notes
• Review façade build-ups, materials, fire stopping provisions, cavity barriers, and remediation proposals
• Assess test evidence, classification reports, product certifications, and desktop studies
