Description

You will ensure the quality and reliability of Spire's electronic systems for spacecraft and ground equipment, collaborating with teams to implement effective quality measures, drive process improvements, and conduct failure analyses.

Requirements

• Background in electronics
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities
• Experience with quality assurance of electronic systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing and supplier quality
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality strategies for electronic assemblies, COTS components, PCBs, and embedded systems
• Coordinate engineering teams in failure analyses, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions (RCA, 8D, 5-Why)
• Monitor and report on in-process quality performance
• Provide quality oversight of electronic manufacturing processes (soldering, PCB assembly, conformal coating)
• Collaborate with design engineering to drive DFM, DFT, and reliability improvements
