💼 About This Role

You'll lead the Interoperability API Engineering team at WelbeHealth, architecting and delivering production-grade APIs and AI/ML-enabled services that power care for seniors. You'll be the hands-on technical anchor, designing components, writing code, and mentoring engineers while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. This role offers direct impact on healthcare delivery and participant outcomes.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end architecture, development, and delivery of APIs and microservices.
• Build scalable cloud-native solutions using Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement MLOps patterns for model deployment and lifecycle management.
• Mentor engineers and serve as escalation point for technical blockers.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in team leader or senior engineering capacity.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with AI/ML and Azure AI Foundry or related frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or Node.js for API engineering.
• Prior experience in healthcare, interoperability, or API-heavy environments.

✨ Nice to Have

• Master's degree in relevant field.
• Experience with FHIR, HL7, EDI, or clinical integration workflows.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools (Azure ML, MLflow, Databricks).
