💼 About This Role

You'll design scalable, standards-aligned healthcare data solutions using Smile Digital Health's FHIR-based platform. You'll partner with enterprise clients during discovery and early design, guiding them toward the right architecture. This role goes beyond design, maintaining architectural oversight throughout implementation and post-go-live phases.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead architectural design during discovery and early implementation phases.
• Provide architectural oversight across full implementation lifecycle and post-go-live.
• Assess customer requirements for performance optimization and data ingestion workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve architectural questions.
• Participate in customer-facing design reviews, workshops, and technical discussions.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, consulting, or solution architecture.
• Proven ability to lead customer-facing architecture discussions with healthcare organizations.
• Experience with real-time data ingestion technologies like Kafka, Camel, or Pulsar.
• Strong understanding of clinical data models and healthcare terminology standards.
• Working knowledge of cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized deployments.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare regulations like CMS interoperability mandates or HIPAA.
• Prior experience with Smile CDR or other FHIR server platforms.
• Knowledge of Inferno test suite, NIST validators, or conformance tools.
