You'll define technical strategy for Tableflow's storage and metadata engines, ensuring high availability and scalability across Confluent Cloud. You'll operate autonomously in ambiguous spaces, balancing technical depth with business impact.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and drive company-level technical strategy for critical systems
• Architect and evolve a high-performance metadata management system
• Design strategies for table schematization, materialization, and compaction
• Build and maintain multi-tenant, highly available infrastructure

📋 Requirements

• Proven track record leading architecture of large-scale distributed storage systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of fault tolerance, consistency, scalability, cloud-native platforms
• Ability to navigate extreme ambiguity and reduce systemic complexity
• Strong ability to influence executives and stakeholders

✨ Nice to Have

• Open-source contributions to Apache Kafka, Iceberg, or Flink
• Expertise in storage internals, runtime systems, or large-scale data infrastructure
• Deep experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
