💼 About This Role

You'll design and lead the architecture of Waabi's monitoring and observability stack for cloud and on-prem environments. Your core impact will be developing workloads, benchmarks, and automation to validate hardware and platform choices. This role stands out because it involves influencing system architecture and mentoring ICs while driving performance optimization using advanced profiling tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and lead architecture of monitoring and observability stack.
• Develop workloads and benchmarks for compute, storage, network, ML/AI.
• Analyze and optimize end-to-end performance using profiling tools.
• Build automation and observability tooling for CI/CD and alerting.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years software engineering or systems/performance engineering experience.
• Proficient in at least one of Python, Rust, or C/C++.
• Hands-on with Linux internals and perf tooling (perf, eBPF, flamegraphs).
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed systems.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience deploying and managing observability platforms like OpenTelemetry or Grafana OSS.
• Performance tuning for databases, streaming, batch, or ML platforms.
• Familiarity with distributed tracing tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus).
