💼 About This Role

You'll perform thermal analysis and own thermal design aspects across hardware development programs at a defense technology company. You'll execute first-order assessments and develop detailed analytical models to support rapid prototyping of cutting-edge systems. This role offers the chance to work on projects from conceptualization through production.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Execute hand calculations and first-order models in MATLAB/Python
• Develop CFD models to predict heat transfer and fluid characteristics
• Generate and correlate integrated FEMs for imaging platforms
• Perform test-model correlation to validate analytical predictions

📋 Requirements

• MS or higher in engineering or applied physics with focus on heat transfer and fluid dynamics
• 7+ years in thermal analysis or thermo-physics analysis role
• Thermal FEA experience (STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak, or Flotherm)
• Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance

• General knowledge of climatic/dynamic testing and instrumentation
• CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make engineering drawings
• Basic knowledge of MIL-STD-810 or equivalent
