Description

As a Senior Platform Planning Manager at Airbnb, you will drive the product planning process for the Platform + Experience team, ensuring seamless collaboration with the Community Support Planning team. You'll own the planning agenda, manage cross-functional stakeholders, track KPIs, and help deliver exceptional customer experiences at scale.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, program management, or product operations roles
• Proven experience leading cross-functional product planning or portfolio management processes
• Exceptional communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of product management processes, experience working with engineering teams
• Proficiency in virtual collaboration and project management tools like Asana, Jira, and Airtable
• Strategic thinking and organizational skills
• Hands-on, working knowledge of software product development life-cycle and methodologies
• Specific experience with Agile is desired
• Strong strategic judgment
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Comfort working with both big-picture strategy and tactical execution
• Champion for continuous improvement
• Exceptional listening skills and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Plan agenda and own logistics for major product planning meetings and gatherings, and drive follow up actions to completion
• Communicate clear project plans including timelines, deliverables, and big rocks to the Platform Team
• Project Manage planning processes ensuring PRD completion and hand-off to engineering
• Provide transparent, proactive, and timely updates to requesters, leadership, and other customers of planning
• Work cross functionally with Engineering and TPM teams to coordinate engineering sizing
• Regularly report on the status of the planning process (KPIs) through a monthly executive summary
• Calculate and maintain capacity estimates for the platform + experience team and CS Labs team
• Allot work to the CS Labs team in alignment with the product roadmap and priorities
• Maintain source of truth trackers and documentation
