💼 About This Role

You'll plan and execute communications strategies for federal campaigns on sustainable finance and conservation. You'll act as media strategist, developing messaging and conducting rapid-response outreach. This temporary role offers a chance to advance climate justice in a unionized nonprofit environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan and implement federal communications strategy for campaigns.
• Develop and execute long-term and rapid-response media outreach.
• Draft op-eds, press releases, talking points, and other materials.
• Pitch stories and connect reporters with spokespeople.

📋 Requirements

• Experience with media relations (journalist, press secretary, etc.).
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to interact cooperatively with internal and external partners.
• Commitment to evolving understanding of systems of oppression.

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of energy and/or climate issues.
• Experience with creative tactics (audio/video, podcasts, etc.).
• Proficiency with Cision, TVEyes, or similar tools.
