Description

You will be the legal partner to Headway's payer contracting team, negotiating partnerships with health plans and building scalable processes. This role offers the chance to impact mental healthcare access as part of a mission-driven healthcare technology company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of post-bar admittance legal experience with deep understanding of healthcare contracting between payers and providers
• Meaningful in-house experience in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment
• Ability to build relationships and consensus amid competing views
• Builder's mindset, energized by enhancing operational structure
• J.D. from accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing (including ability to register as NY in-house counsel)

Responsibilities

• Own payer contracting strategy, aligning business interests with legal terms and regulations
• Build scalable systems to land high-value payer contracts efficiently
• Review and negotiate health plan agreements
• Partner with outside counsel on cutting-edge approaches to unlock value and mitigate risk
