💼 About This Role

You'll join the Product and Engineering team to build and evolve systems that automate reliable operation of PitchBook's suite of products. You'll define SLOs and build observability, incident management, and recovery automation to ensure resilience at scale. This role offers the chance to mentor other engineers and work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build internal platform services, Kubernetes operators, and observability tooling
• Design developer tooling and AI-leveraged workflows
• Establish SLOs, error budgets, and SLIs as success criteria
• Build recoverability including disaster recovery and multi-AZ cloud constructs

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years building Linux/UNIX systems in cloud environments (GCP/AWS)
• 5+ years in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure role using IaC tools like Terraform
• 5+ years coding in an object-oriented language (Java, Python, Go)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and observability tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Experience with Clean Architecture and cloud-native deployment patterns
