Description

You will bridge the gap between technical execution and creative vision, collaborating with design, art, engineering, animation, and audio teams to craft compelling and immersive gameplay systems that bring the world of BioShock to life using Unreal Engine 5.

Requirements

  • 3+ years industry or related experience.
  • Previous experience as a contributor to a gameplay engineering team.
  • Strong 3D Math skills with C/C++ experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Object-Oriented design principles.
  • Commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing procedures.
  • Debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of current data structures, algorithms, and methodologies.
  • Experience with player-centric systems (character, camera, controls).
  • Current console experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Unreal Engine technology.
  • Proficiency in French (for Quebec candidates) and English.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design and art teams to realize creative ambitions.
  • Architect and coordinate implementation of new gameplay systems and features (player verbs, camera, weapon, etc.).
  • Adapt existing systems and build new technology within Unreal 5 engine.
  • Keep current on technological developments in the game industry.
  • Identify technical and developmental risks and generate solutions.
  • Partner with design, engineering, animation, and audio teams.
