Description

You will maintain and evolve OfferUp's client engineering platform and app ecosystem, leading efforts to detect and prevent fraudulent behavior. You'll build end-to-end scalable systems and user experiences while ensuring app stability and developer efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional software engineering experience
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java
• Strong fullstack coding skills including React, React Native, and backend services
• Experience designing scalable backend services and APIs using Java or similar
• Solid understanding of database design (relational and NoSQL)

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver new web experiences using NodeJS, React, and React Native
• Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement new features
• Enforce best practices and drive code quality in mobile and web
• Coach and mentor junior team members
