💼 About This Role

You'll join the engineering team at Haystack News, a fast-growing TV startup, to improve the news experience for millions of users. You'll analyze large datasets, build and deploy machine learning models, and maintain data infrastructure. Work directly with Stanford and Carnegie Mellon alumni in a Silicon Valley startup environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Analyze large datasets using statistical analysis tools
• Build, evaluate and deploy machine learning models
• Maintain reliability and performance of data infrastructure
• Run and monitor A/B tests
• Build and manage APIs

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math or related field
• 3+ years writing software in a professional setting
• Knowledge of AWS and Python
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
• Exposure to ML libraries such as sklearn, LightGBM, XGBoost
