Description

You'll join a small, agile R&D team to explore and harness transformative AI/ML technologies, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), to define next-generation communication experiences. You'll design and build prototypes, experiment with techniques like RAG and agentic systems, and collaborate intensely to rapidly iterate on ideas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS, AI, ML or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years designing, building, and evaluating AI/ML models/systems
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face
• Solid understanding and experience with LLMs, RAG, and prompting techniques
• Experience implementing services on top of foundational LLMs (APIs or open-source)

Responsibilities

• Research latest AI/ML advances, especially LLMs, identifying opportunities for Bandwidth's domain
• Design, build, and test proof-of-concepts and prototypes for AI-powered features
• Implement and integrate AI/ML models, including LLMs, into potential future offerings
• Collaborate within a small cross-functional R&D team, sharing knowledge and contributing to T-shaped skills
• Experiment with advanced prompting, RAG, and potentially agentic systems
