Description

You will make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories, performing evaluations and providing therapeutic interventions for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties. You'll develop treatment plans based on evaluations and physician orders, educating patients and families to promote health and independent living. This role involves accurately documenting care using a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

Requirements

• Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in FL
• Certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or equivalent educational requirements with work experience awaiting certification exam, or completed requirements accumulating supervised work experience for certification
• Solid computer skills
• Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
• Home health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
• Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties
• Develop treatment plans based on evaluation, physician's orders, and recommended goals
• Continually assess and revise speech therapy care plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary care plans with BAYADA clinicians
• Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other representatives in rehabilitative care
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations using a touch pad tablet
