Description

You will lead a global ~40-person engineering organization responsible for the foundational data platforms that drive Stripe's business, defining the strategic vision and roadmap for the data lake, orchestration pipelines, and batch computing environments. You will manage managers and act as an industry leader, driving operational excellence and influencing cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects
• 3+ years of Manager of Managers experience
• Experience building diverse teams to tackle challenging technical problems

Responsibilities

• Define the scope, vision, and goals for the organization with multi-year planning
• Lead a global engineering org, managing managers and scaling processes across teams
• Drive operational excellence and a culture of rigorous thinking and craftsmanship
• Indirectly influence other teams through cross-functional communication
• Recruit world-class talent and develop the leadership team
