💼 About This Role

You'll join Rocket Lab's machining team to develop Rutherford and Archimedes engine components. Your core impact will be designing manufacturing processes and tooling for high-precision rocket engine parts. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge space technology in a hands-on production environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Contribute to design reviews for manufacture and machining
• Select, procure, and install machine shop equipment
• Develop in-house machining capability for Archimedes components
• Design and implement production tooling for quality and cost

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering
• 5+ years of machine shop experience
• Ability to iterate NX CAM programs and operate 5-axis CNC
• Well versed in GD&T and inspection methods

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with capacity modeling and Lean/Six Sigma
• 8+ years of machine shop experience
• Experience machining turbomachinery or combustion devices
