💼 About This Role

You'll lead a full-stack team building Bestow's underwriting platform, which powers automated decisioning and case management for life insurance. You'll own delivery outcomes across distributed teams and remain hands-on in production-level code. This role offers the chance to reimagine a centuries-old industry with a leading insurtech platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Contribute production-level code about 20% of the time
• Drive delivery of underwriting platform workstreams across time zones
• Lead system design and architecture decisions with the team
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and mitigate delivery risks

📋 Requirements

• Engineering management experience leading full-stack teams
• Strong hands-on coding skills in Go, Python, or Java
• Experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
• Proven delivery management in a multi-workstream environment

• Experience with life insurance or fintech domains
• Familiarity with React frontend development
• Experience managing distributed contractors across time zones
