Description

As an Associate, you will perform fire protection engineering services such as life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, and performance-based design under the guidance of experienced engineers. You will develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports, and assist in resolving design problems through field investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural Engineering or related field
• 0-3 years of experience
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Problem-solving and reasoning skills
• Passion for advancing safety science and exceeding client expectations

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection engineering services (life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design, performance-based design)
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports
• Assist in resolution of design problems through field investigations and detailed design
• Identify applicable codes and standards for project responses
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection/alarm reviews, smoke control reviews, and sprinkler/water supply reviews including hydraulic calculations
