💼 About This Role

You'll join Apex Space to fabricate solar array blankets and thermal insulation for satellite buses. You'll ensure precision sewing and finishing for spaceflight requirements. Your craftsmanship contributes directly to spacecraft thermal and mechanical protection.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch solar array blankets and MLI assemblies.
• Cut and form blanket materials (Kapton, beta cloth, Mylar) per engineering drawings.
• Install edge binding, attachment points, and fasteners on solar array blanket assemblies.
• Inspect stitching quality and dimensional accuracy against acceptance criteria.

📋 Requirements

• U.S. Person status required.
• 3+ years of industrial or precision sewing experience with technical textiles.
• Proficiency operating industrial sewing machines for seaming and edge finishing.
• Experience handling fragile substrates (thin film, composites, glass) without damage.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience sewing MLI blankets or aerospace soft goods.
• Familiarity with NASA workmanship standards for thermal blanket fabrication.
• Prior experience in spacecraft manufacturing environment.
