Description

You will apply your robotics and software development expertise to produce safe, comfortable, and intuitive routes for autonomous vehicles. You will research and develop algorithms for motion planning, integrate prediction and control components, and build a scalable codebase for rapid exploration of planning approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD preferred in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven expertise in robotics/autonomous vehicle field
  • 2+ years research experience in robotics/motion planning
  • 2+ years of C++ software development
  • Experience taking projects from problem formulation through implementation and deployment

Responsibilities

  • Develop algorithms for autonomous driving planning including search-based, sampling-based, optimization-based methods, and decision making under uncertainty
  • Integrate and evaluate combinations of motion planning and prediction algorithms
  • Design and build robust, scalable codebase for rapid exploration of motion planning approaches
  • Interface with perception, prediction, trajectory optimization, and tracking control components
  • Participate in code reviews and mentoring sessions with senior team members
