You'll architect how people move through complex physical environments, blending design, engineering, and behavioral science to create intuitive systems. Your work will optimize throughput, safety, and experience in high-stakes settings like shipyards. You'll design queuing and circulation systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver invisible but indispensable solutions.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Design end-to-end human flow systems across physical environments.
- Architect queuing strategies optimizing actual and perceived wait times.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in movement and decision points.
- Translate behavioral insights into practical, buildable system designs.
📋 Requirements
- 7+ years designing or operating complex human-centered systems.
- Experience with capacity modeling, service design, or pedestrian flow.
- Familiarity with simulation tools or data-driven decision-making.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience designing systems under extreme peak loads.
- Familiarity with crowd modeling or queuing theory.
- Background in environments where safety is mission-critical.
