You will shape quality strategy across complex aerospace programs, leading risk mitigation (APQP/PPAP), influencing design for manufacturability, and partnering with engineering and suppliers to deliver certifiable outcomes. This role focuses on building quality into the product, not just paperwork.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or defense
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred; equivalent experience accepted
- Expert knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 (FAI), and AS9145 (APQP/PPAP)
- Advanced proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Must be a 'US Person' as defined by ITAR and meet aerospace visual acuity requirements
Responsibilities
- Own strategic quality planning and develop Quality Management Plans for new programs
- Lead APQP/PPAP activities across programs and suppliers
- Partner with Design Engineering to define Critical-to-Quality features and apply GD&T
- Lead cross-functional investigations into nonconformances using 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why
- Champion SPC and DOE to stabilize processes and reduce Cost of Poor Quality
