💼 About This Role

You'll join a robotics company transforming construction heavy equipment into autonomous robots, working on 100,000-pound autonomous robots at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and AI. You'll own board-level electrical hardware from schematic to production, bring existing PCB designs to professional standards, and establish design, validation, and manufacturing processes for a fast-growing startup. This is a unique opportunity to build technology with real-world impact alongside experienced leaders from Lyft's Self-Driving Car program.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Own PCB design lifecycle: schematic capture, layout, simulation, validation, production release
  • Clean up schematics, BOMs, and documentation to a maintainable professional standard
  • Design power stages, sensor interfaces, analog/digital I/O, and galvanic isolation circuits
  • Establish validation practices: bench testing, ESD, load testing, resonance tuning
  • Manage DFM reviews and relationship with contract manufacturers and fab houses

📋 Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional EE experience with PCB design through production
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
  • Proficient in KiCad (schematic capture, layout, BOM management)
  • Experience with low-voltage power circuits with high-current stages

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or ruggedized industrial environments
  • Familiarity with embedded firmware concepts for bring-up partnership
  • Experience establishing EE standards and validation processes on a small team

🎁 Benefits & Perks
