Description

You will architect the platform foundation for MongoDB's AI-powered modernization suite, enabling a 'build once, run anywhere' model across client environments. This high-visibility role involves solving unique distributed systems puzzles, leading a team, and ensuring the platform operates seamlessly under strict security and network constraints.

Requirements

• 8+ years software development and operations experience building platforms and distributable infrastructure
• 2+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring engineering teams
• Deep experience designing distributable applications for air-gapped or restricted networks
• Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration with security monitoring
• Experience with Service Host architectures, persistent storage, and auto-update mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
• Drive distributed infrastructure for the Application Modernisation Platform
• Lead design and implementation of orchestration layer for authentication, telemetry, and tool lifecycle
• Architect client-side application managing developer workflows with secure communication
• Solve Day 2 operations challenges: user management, secrets, updates in restricted environments
