💼 About This Role

You'll design and train ML models for a counter-drone perception stack at a defense startup. Your work will be deployed in field-ready systems protecting troops against real threats. You'll own the full model lifecycle from research to edge deployment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and train ML models for detection, classification, and tracking of aerial targets
• Own dataset pipeline end-to-end including collection, labeling, and augmentation
• Build training infrastructure with experiment tracking and evaluation harnesses
• Analyze field data to identify and address model failure modes

📋 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience shipping ML systems into production
• Fluency in PyTorch or JAX with full training loop development
• Strong software engineering skills beyond model development
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check

• Experience with detection or tracking of small, fast targets
• Synthetic data generation and sim-to-real methodologies
• Active security clearance or eligibility
