Description

You will train as a neurosurgical resident fellow at Neuralink, assisting or leading experimental brain-computer interface procedures, refining surgical techniques with technical teams, and helping design surgical robots and implants. You'll collaborate with preclinical scientists on study protocols and ensure ethical use of animal subjects.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine
• Resident Physician in Neurosurgery or other surgeon-in-training as approved
• Research year in residency
• 1-2 years experience performing neurosurgery in an operating room
• Expert knowledge of OR procedures: sterile fields, surgical equipment, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist or serve as primary surgeon for experimental BCI procedures using cadavers or animal subjects
• Refine surgical techniques and provide usability and safety feedback to technical teams
• Participate in engineering design reviews for surgical robot, processes, and implant
• Guide preclinical study protocol design with scientists
• Ensure humane and ethical use of animal subjects with veterinary staff
