You'll help build the analytical foundations that allow OpenAI to deploy increasingly capable AI responsibly. You'll solve complex problems where rigorous analysis directly informs critical decisions on safety, fraud, and misuse. This role operates at the intersection of product, safety, policy, and research with high ownership and visibility.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Measure harmful or abusive behavior across OpenAI's products
• Design experiments and causal analyses to understand product and policy impacts
• Build prevalence estimators, dashboards, and monitoring systems
• Translate ambiguous safety risks into measurable problems and recommendations

📋 Requirements

• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with experimentation or causal inference
• Ability to structure open-ended risk problems
• Experience working with messy or incomplete datasets

✨ Nice to Have

• Background in Trust & Safety or integrity
• Experience in fraud and abuse detection
• Knowledge of AI safety research or alignment
