Description

You will own and operate deposition and etching systems for semiconductor packaging, develop and optimize processes, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Starlink's in-house IC packaging and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science discipline
• 1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment (professional, project/research, or combination)
• 3+ years practical experience in semiconductor deposition processes in fabrication setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of deposition methods (ALD, PECVD, LPCVD, PVD, plasma sputtering) and high vacuum environments preferred
• Proficiency in data analysis and process control software (JMP, SQL) preferred

Responsibilities

• Own, operate and maintain PVD deposition systems for thin films of metals, dielectrics, compound semiconductors
• Own, operate and maintain wet/dry etching processes; develop and optimize new and existing processes
• Develop and optimize deposition recipes tuning temperature, pressure, gas flow, precursor delivery to achieve target thickness and composition
• Monitor process performance using in-situ sensors and metrology (3D profilometers, ellipsometers, reflectometers, XRF)
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, analyze process drifts, perform root cause investigations, and document process data
