Description

You will support material qualifications for turbomachinery hardware, evaluate non-conformances, define technical specifications, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive process improvements in aerospace and defense systems.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of materials engineering experience in aerospace or gas turbine industry
• Bachelor/Master of Science in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy
• Broad knowledge of metallic, ceramic, composite, polymeric materials and characterization tests
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
• Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Support and drive material qualifications of new supplier's turbomachinery hardware
• Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
• Define technical specifications and requirements
• Evaluate non-conformances and recommend disposition procedures
• Provide technical and strategic support to supply chain through reviews and pre-production meetings
