Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at Astranis, you will design, evaluate, test, and build spacecraft parts and mechanical systems. You'll work on components from concept through integration, collaborating with a team to develop requirements and improve build processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 1-4 years of mechanical design or equivalent experience
• Mastery of mechanical CAD
• Demonstrated fundamentals in mechanical and thermal analysis

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, procure, assemble, and test primary structure, bracketry, and mechanisms
• Develop requirements for components and systems including loads, interfaces, and functional requirements
• Perform mechanical and thermal analysis for spacecraft systems
• Integrate parts and systems into spacecraft
• Document and develop procedures to improve build process
