Description
You will lead the implementation of LISC DC's 3C initiative, supporting small multifamily affordable housing in DC neighborhoods. You'll provide technical assistance to building owners, co-manage consultants, collaborate on lending, and build community partnerships to strengthen affordable housing stock.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in urban studies, planning, public policy, real estate, or related field (experience may substitute)
- Minimum 3 years experience in community development
- Experience in real estate, building management, property management, financial underwriting, asset management, or project management
- Highly motivated and solution-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Effective communication skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Assist with creation, design, and implementation of Phase 2 of 3C initiative supporting 16 small buildings
- Provide technical assistance to building owners analyzing fiscal health, physical needs, operations, compliance, and portfolio
- Co-manage a team of consultants providing coaching and cohort trainings
- Collaborate with lending team to deploy capital to 5-6 buildings
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, government agencies, banks, and philanthropic institutions
