Description
You will lead SPS's Employee Relations strategy and execution across multiple states, ensuring compliance with employment laws, providing expert guidance on workplace matters, and partnering with leadership to foster a fair, respectful, and compliant work environment. This hybrid role requires in-office presence in New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, or San Jose, CA.
Requirements
- Seasoned Employee Relations leader with experience in a multi-state environment.
- Expertise in supporting both frontline/operational and corporate staff.
- Experience leading a small team.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision-making in sensitive matters.
- Knowledge of California employment laws and other key jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, performance management, and terminations.
- Lead and develop ER/HR team members handling day-to-day employee relations issues.
- Conduct and oversee thorough, compliant workplace investigations.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws across a multi-state workforce.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex workforce concerns.
