Description

You will design and support outside plant telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber and copper networks, for projects such as Fiber-to-the-Home and Metro-E Ethernet. Your work ensures network reliability and expansion while meeting company standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Experience designing and engineering OSP telecom infrastructure (fiber and copper)
• Strong understanding of OSP principles and telecom industry practices
• Experience with right-of-way acquisition, easements, and permitting
• Familiarity with NESC and related engineering requirements
• Proficiency with CAD systems and engineering databases

Responsibilities

• Perform OSP engineering for copper and fiber cable networks (aerial, buried, conduit)
• Develop engineering designs for poles, conduit routes, and buried facilities
• Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and technical reports
• Track project budgets and compare estimated vs actual costs
• Conduct field data collection, measurements, and inspections
