💼 About This Role

You'll lead the data platform squad at Luxury Presence, building event-driven pipelines with Kafka and Spark. You'll shape architecture for MLS, property, and AI-driven data products. This role combines backend engineering, data infrastructure, and AI agent development for a Series C company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and evolve event-driven Kafka data flows for ingestion and recommendations.
• Build scalable streaming and batch pipelines with Spark or Flink on EMR.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Java for listing data.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate AI agents into data workflows.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python or Java with microservices and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar event platforms.
• Deep experience with Spark or Flink for large-scale data processing.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Airflow and Kubernetes for orchestration and compute.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks like LangChain or PydanticAI.
• Prior experience in a staff/lead role influencing architecture.
