💼 About This Role

You'll lead the technical direction of MyCoupang, Coupang's post-purchase customer experience platform serving tens of millions of active customers across Korea and Taiwan. You'll own the most critical technical challenges including designing multi-market abstractions and driving the system toward 99.99% availability. This role directly influences customer retention and satisfaction for every post-purchase interaction.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design multi-market abstractions that scale to new regions
• Drive the system toward 99.99% availability
• Lead disaster recovery readiness and capacity planning
• Define long-term architecture for a high-scale platform

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years of software design and development in Java
• Hands-on experience with scalable, high-availability systems
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems handling millions of requests
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar

• Backend development in Kotlin or similar JVM languages
• RESTful API design and implementation
• Database design and optimization (MySQL, Aurora)
