Description

You will define how Production Engineering operates day-to-day, hire and develop a team of Production Engineers, and serve as the primary bridge between Production and Manufacturing Engineering teams. This is a player-coach role where you troubleshoot builds in real time, disposition NCRs, support first articles, and ensure every kit is accurate and ready to work.

Requirements

• Experience leading a production engineering or manufacturing engineering team
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting in a production environment
• Ability to manage NCR dispositions and SLA performance
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with ME, quality, and production teams
• Experience with wire harness manufacturing or similar high-mix production

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and develop a team of Production Engineers
• Serve as senior technical escalation for complex production issues
• Own first article sign-off for the PE team
• Maintain ME-PE interface: represent production needs, track documentation issues
• Drive root cause on repeat non-conformances and close the loop with production and quality
