You'll lead US state money transmission licence applications for a global payments leader, driving regulatory approvals across multiple jurisdictions. You will navigate complex multi-state licensing programmes and manage examiner relationships. This role offers direct impact on Nium's North American expansion at a pivotal stage.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Prepare and submit US state money transmission licence applications
• Manage regulatory examinations and respond to queries
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for multi-workstream licensing
• Track and ensure compliance with state-specific requirements

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or consulting with US financial regulation
• Proven experience managing US state MTL applications from preparation to approval
• Strong understanding of US MTL frameworks including surety bonds and net worth obligations
• Experience managing complex multi-workstream licensing programmes

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with crypto or virtual currency licensing (e.g., NY BitLicense)
• Familiarity with Canadian payment systems (Payments Canada, Interac, Real-Time Rail)
• Experience in fintech, payments, e-money, cards, or stablecoins
