Description

You will build and maintain auto-scaling infrastructure for ClickHouse's cloud-native database platform, working with Kubernetes operators and the core database team to achieve serverless capabilities. This involves implementing algorithms for scaling metrics, collaborating cross-team, and architecting distributed systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes operators (controller runtime)
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Java in production
• Experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaaS offerings like EC2
• Experience with data storage, ingestion, and transformation tools (Spark, Kafka, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Build a cutting-edge cloud-native database platform on public cloud
• Work on autoscaling and Kubernetes operator for vertical and horizontal auto-scaling
• Improve metrics pipeline and develop algorithms for scaling statistics and recommendations
• Collaborate with core development and data plane teams on auto-scaling and infrastructure improvements
• Architect robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure
