💼 About This Role

You'll lead the development of core security infrastructure and product-wide protection strategies at Navan. You'll balance rapid innovation with world-class defense-in-depth as the primary architect of a platform powering the Navan ecosystem. You'll drive a culture of execution and quality, ensuring security is a built-in feature, not a bottleneck.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage a specialized team of 8–10 software and security engineers.
• Oversee design and implementation of scalable security frameworks for authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define and prioritize the strategic security roadmap.
• Lead security incidents and drive remediation when needed.

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience with at least 4 years in leadership.
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience with distributed systems and AWS or GCP.

✨ Nice to Have

• In-depth knowledge of modern authentication (SAML, JWT, OIDC, Passkeys).
• Experience with Agile/CI/CD lifecycle and Security as Code (SAST, DAST, SCA).
