Description

You will help reshape the future of Sotheby's by building a compelling modern marketplace experience, collaborating with designers, user researchers, and engineers to ship features continuously. You'll build and optimize internal and consumer-facing tools, design abstractions and APIs, and work closely with product managers and stakeholders.

Requirements

5+ years of industry engineering experience
Proven experience writing, deploying, and running distributed systems
Experience writing microservices with clear separation of concerns
Expert knowledge of Golang or Scala
Expert knowledge of a modern front-end framework like React

Responsibilities

Help deliver on the product vision for reshaping the auction industry
Collaborate with designers, user researchers, and engineers to ship features continuously
Build, optimize, and maintain internal and consumer-facing tools
Design and build elegant abstractions, shareable libraries, and robust APIs
Improve end-to-end experience for specialists across internal-facing product portfolio
