Description

As a backend software engineer on the Product Features team, you will build the platforms that power Abnormal's growth, including the Integrations Platform and Configuration Platform. You will design distributed systems, drive developer velocity, and directly impact customer trust and business growth.

Requirements

• 4+ years backend engineering with distributed systems in Python and Golang
• Proven platform ownership with end-to-end system design and delivery
• Low-latency, high-throughput expertise with SQL/NoSQL databases and operational excellence
• Architectural thinking with ability to write technical design docs and influence cross-team direction
• Growth-oriented mindset with increasing impact and ownership over time
• Asynchronous collaboration excellence with strong written communication
• Quality-driven execution with focus on sustainable, maintainable systems

Responsibilities

• Work with Tech Lead, Engineering Manager and Product Manager to develop and deliver key features
• Assist in guiding and mentoring junior members of the team
• Assume ownership of reliability of features, including comprehensive unit tests and integration testing
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
• Communicate effectively with the team in an async manner
• Raise the bar of excellence in engineering, contribute to knowledge sharing and participate in professional development
