Description

You will lead Airbnb's strategic engagement with law enforcement agencies across EMEA, building trusted relationships to safeguard the community from criminal and life safety threats. Your work involves driving collaboration on investigations, crisis response, and data exchange while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years as a law enforcement or domestic security service officer with expertise in investigating serious and organized crime, violence, and public safety threats.
  • Experience conducting complex investigations involving violent crime, organized crime, child sexual exploitation, terrorism, or cybercrime.
  • Professional work experience with law enforcement agencies in the European Union.
  • Experience managing law enforcement requests for information, production orders, emergency disclosures, MLAT requests, and emergencies from varied legal systems common to EMEA.
  • Professional working knowledge of GDPR and individual data privacy rights.
  • Training and expertise in crisis planning, management, and critical incident response.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment with understanding of cultural differences.
  • Highly developed network of resources with global law enforcement and security services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including executive presentations.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Professional presence and ability to interact effectively with executive management.
  • Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound work ethic, judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout EMEA and periodically to other regions.
  • Willingness to support GSRM functions in EMEA on a 24/7 basis.
  • Native proficiency (fluency) in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage Airbnb efforts to cultivate trusted relationships with law enforcement partners in EMEA.
  • Lead and promote effective information exchange and collaboration with regional law enforcement on criminal and life safety matters.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with law enforcement and government authorities in EMEA, building partnerships through liaison with international organizations.
  • Lead regional and contribute to global programs, events, and presentations to educate partner agencies on Airbnb's trust and safety capabilities.
  • Provide expertise and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams on law enforcement engagement matters in EMEA.
  • Lead or contribute to law enforcement communication during crisis response or high-risk operations in EMEA.
  • Identify market segments and external partnership opportunities to improve law enforcement liaison in EMEA.
  • Investigate and overcome barriers to successful collaborative law enforcement operations and data exchange in EMEA.
  • Collaborate with Airbnb legal, community support, and public policy teams on online safety, security, and law enforcement issues.
  • Develop, analyze, and communicate data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of law enforcement engagement in EMEA.
  • Manage logistics of projects from start to finish, including scoping, aligning teams, advancing contracts, coordinating rollouts, and managing budgets.
