Description

In this role, you will assemble and test turbopumps for SpaceX's Raptor engines. You'll use precision tools, interpret technical drawings, perform mechanical assembly, and provide feedback to improve processes. Your work directly supports the development of vehicles destined for Mars.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years experience in turbomachinery or engine/rocket mechanical assembly
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 5 days a week, including overtime and weekends
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods
• ITAR compliance: U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Responsibilities

• Use precision tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, depth gauges, calipers)
• Perform mechanical assembly including tack welding, fastener installation, precision cleaning, pressure testing
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Perform cryogenic and thermal part fitment and installs
• Fulfill dynamic balance operations and maintain a clean work environment
