💼 About This Role

You'll define and own The Economist's approach to AI-native and conversational platforms, ensuring accurate, grounded representation of their journalism. You'll drive product strategy for LLM connectors, retrieval pipelines, and agent-facing content interfaces. This role is at the forefront of responsible AI distribution for a world-class news organization.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own vision and roadmap for Gen AI and conversational platforms.
• Define how journalism is queried, retrieved, grounded, cited by LLMs.
• Lead product strategy for LLM connectors and retrieval integrations.
• Partner with engineering and data science on retrieval pipelines.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with AI or platform products.
• Strong understanding of LLM retrieval and reasoning (RAG concepts).
• Experience with APIs, schemas, and metadata for third-party integrations.
• Ability to partner with engineering and data science on ambiguous technical problems.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT).
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles in content-rich environments.
• Familiarity with The Economist's editorial values and mission.
