Description

You will create high-quality developer and API documentation for a sophisticated SaaS platform called Kizen. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you'll work directly with product owners, engineers, and solution architects to translate complex technical concepts into clear, usable documentation that improves the developer experience.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of technical writing experience focused on software or technical platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Journalism, or Computer Science
• Proven experience writing API and developer documentation for SaaS, platform, or enterprise software products
• Strong understanding of OpenAPI Specification; ability to read and validate .yaml and .json specification files
• Proficiency with Docs-as-Code workflows and hands-on experience with GitHub/GitLab or Gitbooks

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and maintain developer-facing documentation including API docs, integration guides, plugin docs, tutorials, and release notes
• Read, interpret, and validate OpenAPI specifications (.yaml / .json)
• Partner with engineering teams to document new features, API endpoints, data models, and error handling
• Own documentation quality, clarity, accuracy, and usability; contribute to documentation architecture and navigation
• Manage documentation projects from intake through publication
