Description

As a Commercial Finance Intern at Helsing, you'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Procurement, and Engineering, working directly with cost data to shape sourcing strategy and profitability decisions. You'll build and refine cost models that underpin key commercial choices, conduct bottom-up should-cost analyses, and support supplier negotiations with fact-based arguments.

Requirements

• Enrolled in degree in Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field
• Working knowledge of cost accounting principles (bill of materials, overhead allocation, manufacturing cost structures)
• Clear communication of complex financial analysis to cross-functional stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Track and manage product costs across full lifecycle
• Build and maintain bottom-up 'Should Cost' models for manufacturing components
• Identify cost optimisation opportunities through Value Engineering analysis
• Monitor savings pipeline and financial risk register, produce reports
• Prepare cost breakdowns and fact-based arguments for supplier negotiations
