💼 About This Role

You'll join the Central Solenoid Magnet team at Commonwealth Fusion Systems to design and analyze components for the SPARC fusion device. Your core impact will be supporting every stage from blank-page design through production and testing. This role stands out because you'll work on one of the key magnet systems that will enable the first fusion device to demonstrate net energy gain.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and analyze **structures** for the CS magnet using FEA
• Present completed designs for **peer and executive review**
• Develop **test plans** and support execution
• Support **production** including time on the production floor

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years experience in aerospace or heavy engineering
• Structural analysis using FEA and hand-calculations
• CAD proficiency (NX preferred)

✨ Nice to Have

• Python and MATLAB familiarity
• Superconducting magnet design experience
• Vacuum vessel design experience
